Redundant Publication
A redundant (or duplicate) publication is one that overlaps substantially with one already published in print or electronic media.
Readers of primary source periodicals like Verniana need to be sure that what they are reading is original. If it's not original, there must be a clear statement that the author(s) and editor are intentionally republishing an article. This principle is based on international copyright laws, ethical conduct, and cost-effective use of resources.
Verniana is an international multilingual peer-reviewed online journal that will consider any original contribution that advances knowledge about Jules Verne and his works. Manuscripts must be solely the work of the author(s) stated, must not have been previously published elsewhere, and must not be under consideration by another journal.
This policy does not preclude the journal considering a paper that has been rejected by another journal, or a complete report that follows publication of a preliminary report, such as an abstract or poster displayed at a professional meeting.
When submitting a paper to Verniana, the author(s) must assure the Editorial Board that the paper has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
